We’ve seen it, touched it, know it’s true:
this life we have and preach to you.
This is the message - God is light,
the only path out of our plight.
We all have sin, we must confess.
Denial won’t improve our mess.
We sin, that’s why we need the Christ
to be atoning sacrifice.
Then strive to follow his command:
As Jesus stood, so we must stand.
Think you know God? Well here’s a test:
How patient are you with a pest?
For love and light are intertwined
But if you hate, you have gone blind.
Both God and Son have always been.
Christ took God’s wrath to pay our sin.
He lives in us and makes us strong,
to help us overcome what’s wrong.
What’s wrong is loving things of earth
instead of God whose will is worth
far more than flesh or pride or lust,
which soon will disappear like dust.
There are two sides, and you’re on one:
You either trust or spurn the Son.
We’re only righteous under grace,
but sin is spitting in His face.
We’re Satan’s spawn if sin runs wild,
but righteous if you are God’s child.
To hate is murder in your heart.
For love we have been set apart.
Love not with words, but with our deeds,
by helping others with their needs.
His order’s easy to perceive:
Love others and in Christ believe.
To Truth good spirits testify.
But evil spirits, Christ deny.
He loved us though we chose to sin.
He gave us Christ and lives within
so we can love in the same way,
love others though they live astray.
For faith is love is purity,
is life communing with the Three,
is birth of God, hope in his name,
avoiding sin - they’re all the same.
We’re guarded by God on the throne,
so trust and worship him alone.
