He wrote again, more peace and grace
to those who make the Lord their base.
God’s pow’r can give you piety
Despite corrupt society.
To faith add goodness, knowledge too.
Control yourself and see things through.
Devote yourself to God above.
Take care of others. Always love.
You are redeemed, serve God with zeal.
His kingdom is so very real.
Avoid the folks who falsely claim
to prophesy in Jesus’ name,
but love the flesh. Well, God has shown:
Bad people reap what they have sown.
They pounce the weak, they are depraved.
By their corruption they’re enslaved.
For blasphemy they’ll be destroyed,
and cast into the deepest void.
Dear friends, keep Scripture on your mind.
The mockers will be left behind.
For on that day when He returns:
New earth revealed while this world burns.
From sin, keep your behavior free.
All glory to our Savior be.
