Hey friends, wrote Silas, Tim, and Paul,
We miss you, thank God for you all.
In prayer we all speak fondly of
your hard work from faith, hope and love.
We know our God has chosen you
For with you faith came power too.
We follow God, you model us,
Now everywhere your faith's discussed.
You turned so God your life extols
and wait for Christ who saves our souls.
We preached not to earn praise from men,
but to please God, for love, children.
For love, with you we shared our lives.
From love encouragement derives.
You gained the true and living Word.
By hostile men you're undeterred.
For why should Christ give us renown?
For you. You are our joy and crown.
We can feel joy enduring wrong
because we hear your faith is strong.
Live all your life for God to please,
not physical impurities.
By love and hard work win respect
As outsiders your life inspect.
Don't grieve like those who have no hope.
For death is not beyond God's scope.
Into the sky the saved ascend
To be with God, time without end.
That day will come as a surprise,
But not to those alert and wise.
Redeemed, we belong to the day.
Be self-controlled, don't go astray.
Put on the armor from above.
Prepare to live with faith, hope, love.
God chose you not to suffer wrath
But for salvation on your path.
He died for us, that we may live.
Encouragement each other give.
Respect church leaders, live in peace,
And warn the idle, help the weak.
Encourage people overrun.
Be patient now with everyone.
Don't let revenge creep in your mind.
To all God's children, you be kind.
Live every moment joyfully,
In talks with God continually.
Give thanks in every circumstance.
God's will for you is to advance.
Stand tall for all the Spirit would.
Test everything and hold the good.
God sanctify you through and through.
He's faithful, he will do it too.
